The Tickles and Ivories used their superior skills and strategy to tame Spain's IBM Federacion Madrilena de Polo at the King's Cup Elephant Polo yesterday.
David Kast played a key role for the Tickles and Ivories who raced to a two-goal lead early in the first half.
The IBM Federacion Madrilena de Polo was not prepared to lose without a fight. They staged an impressive comeback but still trailed 4-2 at halftime.
The Spaniards rattled the Tickles and Ivories early in the second half with Estanislao Aranzadi scoring a nicely placed goal to reduce the deficit to 4-3.
The IBM Federacion Madrilena de Polo then went for all-out attack for an equaliser. But the Tickles and Ivories proved they were more experienced when Kast helped his team get a penalty in the dying seconds.
Kast comfortably converted the penalty for the Tickles and Ivories to win 5-3.
